Fort Christopher's Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Preferred Sale Graduate Meriwether Jessica Demolishes The Competition In Her First Start

Meriwether Jessica is a Fort Christopher’s yearling sales graduate from the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga preferred sale.  The 2yo filly is by Freud out of the mare Chunter’s Joy.  In her first start ever, she destroyed the competition in a 5 furlong 2 yo maiden race at Belmont Park by 12 1/2 lengths.  Yes, 12 1/2 lengths, which is fantastic for a race only going five furlongs.  “ This horse was a nice individual as a yearling.  She brought $25,000.00 as a yearling in August and re-sold for $95,000.00 as a 2 yo in training.  I would like to congratulate Robert & Mary Harris who purchased her as a yearling for recognizing such a nice individual.  Congratulations are also in order for her new owner and trainer Linda Rice for doing a wonderful job with her, and all her connections past and present.” said Fort Christopher’s owner Christopher Shelli.
